Test prerequisites
Fuses must be OK.
The battery voltage must be at least 12 V, if necessary connect a battery charger.
All electrical consumers, e.g. lights and rear window heating, must be switched off.
Visual check of cables OK.

Checking current draw of fuel pump
Note
The battery voltage and the diesel fuel temperature have a great influence on the current draw of the fuel pump. For this reason, measures should be taken to ensure that battery voltage is at least 12.5 V during the check.
Depending on the season, make sure that the vehicle is filled with winter diesel if necessary.
Test prerequisites
Battery voltage at least 12.5 V
Diesel fuel temperature above 10 °C
Carry out the following work:
First check that connector

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
