Removing and installing air recirculation flap control motor V113 - manually controlled air conditioner (or heater without air conditioner) on Audi: 19.
Workshop procedure for AUDI — the exact step sequence and torque figures, straight from real workshop data.
🧭 Before you start
Fits: Audi Q3 (8U, 2011–2018); platform code 84
Don't miss
- Mark electrical connector and control motor.
- If there are problems due to moisture in the passenger compartment, also check the air recirculation flap (must close completely).
- If the gear wheel does not make contact with the stop, the mounting for the control motor must be turned. Observe general notes .
- Position control motor on air intake box with air recirculation flap open. The shaft of the air recirculation flap must engage in the mounting.
- Position bracket on air intake box; guide must engage in mounting.
📋 Procedure
- ⚠ Problems occur with the operation of the air conditioner (heater) if incorrect component versions have been installed. The different control motor versions can only be distinguished from the outside by their part numbers. The connecting elements are sometimes very similar and cannot be distinguished at first glance.Where possible, only remove a control motor once the new component and the corresponding connecting element are available for installation.Prior to installation, check carefully to ensure that the correct control motor and the correct connecting element allocated to it are being installed. If possible, only dispose of the removed components once you have checked that the newly installed components function correctly. — Observe general notes .
- Remove glove box General body repairs, interior68Shelves / trim panels; Removing and installing glove box.
- Move clear electrical wiring.
- Release tabs and detach bracket towards rear.
- Detach control motor (1) from air recirculation flap shaft (arrow).
- Mark electrical connector and control motor.
- Unplug electrical connector (1).
- If there are problems due to moisture in the passenger compartment, also check the air recirculation flap (must close completely).
- The mounting for the control motor can only be attached to the shaft in the "“air recirculation flap open”" position.
- Prise connecting element (in this case: gear wheel (A)) out of the control motor that is being renewed (or select connecting element from set of connecting elements) and install it in the new control motor that is being installed . [Note: If the gear wheel does not make contact with the stop, the mounting for the control motor must be turned. Observe general notes .]
- Plug in electrical connector (A).
- Position control motor on air intake box with air recirculation flap open. The shaft of the air recirculation flap must engage in the mounting.
- Position bracket on air intake box; guide must engage in mounting.
- Tabs on bracket must engage audibly at air intake box.
- Route wiring harness (F) so that it cannot come into contact with moving components (e.g. control motor lever).
- Install glove box General body repairs, interior68Shelves / trim panels; Removing and installing glove box.
- Read out event memory and delete any entries displayed.
- Perform basic setting.
- Perform final control diagnosis.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
