Fig.1
Installation position of disc springs

Install disc springs -1- and -2- so that when placed together the outer edges touch. There is a clearance at the inner diameter.

Fig.2
Removing and installing circlip

Press intermediate spring ring down far enough for the circlip (arrow) to be inserted in the groove.

Fig.3
Inserting circlip

Insert circlip (arrow) in the groove, diaphragm spring is slightly pretensioned.

Fig.4
Placing inner and outer plates on inner plate carrier and clipping in support ring

Insert the thrust plate and the inner and outer plates and then clip supporting ring (arrow) in place.

Note:

An inner and an outer plate must be placed in the clutch housing before inserting the inner plate carrier.

Fig.6
Inserting inner plate carrier and installing circlip (arrow)

Lift inner plate carrier slightly to install circlip.

Fig.7
Checking seating of piston rings

There are two piston rings installed on the turbine shaft inside the clutch housing.

Ensure that the ends of the piston rings are hooked together.

Fig.8
Fitting and hooking ends of piston ring together

Place piston ring in groove.
To hook ends together press sides of ring in and guide ends over one another.
Do not twist piston ring out of groove on one side.

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.

Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
