📋 Procedure

  1. Separate quick-release coupling (A) (black or with black marking) of fuel supply line.
  2. Connect pressure tester VAS 6550 with cables VAS 6550/1 and VAS 6550/2 to open ends of fuel supply line.
  3. Switch on pressure tester VAS 6550 by pressing On/Off push button.
  4. Open shut-off taps "“A”" and "“B”" of pressure tester and close shut-off tap "“C”".

  1. Close shut-off valve "“B”" for a maximum period of 15 seconds. Take pressure reading on pressure tester VAS 6550 during this period. Specification should be at least 0.5 bar.
  2. If the delivery pressure temporarily drops, renew fuel delivery unit.
  3. In the event of engine running problems, renew fuel filter to eliminate potential fuel filter blockage problem.
  4. Separate fuel supply lines (1) on front right of fuel tank. To do this, press down release button on hose coupling.
  5. Connect pressure tester VAS 6550 with cables VAS 6550/1 and VAS 6550/2 to open ends of fuel supply line.
  6. Switch on pressure tester VAS 6550 by pressing On/Off push button.
  7. Open shut-off taps "“A”" and "“B”" of pressure tester and close shut-off tap "“C”".
  8. Start engine and run at idling speed.
  9. Close shut-off valve "“B”" for a maximum period of 15 seconds. Take pressure reading on pressure tester VAS 6550 during this period. Specification should be at least 0.5 bar.
  10. Check fuel pump delivery rate (see the separate procedure). [Note: After assembling, check all quick-release couplings are fully engaged by pulling on them.]

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.

Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
