Engine code letters AGY, AFX, AFV
Note:
Cylinder heads which have cracks between the valve seats or between valve seat inserts and the spark plug thread can be used further without reducing service life, provided the cracks do not exceed a maximum of 0.5 mm in width, or when no more than the first spark plug thread is cracked.

Exchange cylinder heads with camshaft bearing shells
Exchange cylinder heads/exchange engines are in some cases supplied with camshaft bearing shells.
A -
Cylinder head with standard camshaft.
a = 26.00 mm ø
C -
Cylinder head with undersize camshaft
a = 25.75 mm ø and yellow coloured spot on VW-Audi emblem.
Note:
Undersize camshafts will not be supplied as a replacement part. In cases of repair install camshaft with the corresponding cearing shells.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
