Steering column
Renew shockproofed cylinder when damaged.
Steering column switch
Move together with column tube, if necessary.
Steering wheel
Install when wheels are in straight-ahead position (steering box in central position), steering wheel spokes are then in horizontal position and the turn signal levers in zero position.

Fit retaining ring
Move steering column until the ring fits and the front bulkhead hole has a dimension of (a) 6 to 8 mm. Continuously tighten self-locking hexagon nut (arrow) to prescribed tightening torque.
Fig.2
Installation position of the column tube securing rod
Check column tube securing plate for correct seat and installation position. Closed side of the light alloy guiding shoes must face forwards (arrows).

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
