Note:
The smallest mal-adjustment of the fuel delivery adjusting screw can cause sooting or loss of engine power. Therefore it is important that the adjusting screw is re-installed in the same position. On no account may the fuel delivery adjusting screw be screwed in past the original position.
Work sequence
Remove return spring and lower throttle lever

.
Mark position of fuel delivery adjusting screw relative to pump cover, e.g. slot of screw relative to pump cover -arrows-.

Remove injection pipes with slotted ring spanner 3035.
Remove fuel return pipe.
Wrap a cloth around the fuel pump to absorb leaking fuel.
Remove cover securing bolts (Qty. 4).
Separate the idling speed throttle lever -12- from the idling speed adjusting rod -3- by removing the circlip -5-.
Tip pump cover -31- slightly to one side, and detach idling speed spring -28- (e.g. using locally manufactured hook). Do not over tension spring.

Carefully remove surplus D6.
Install new throttle shaft O-ring -2-.
Ensure that the thrust washer -3- is in place.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
