Noise insulation -overview-
Grasp the ribbed belt on the left and right-hand sides of the P.A.S. vane pump -7- with both hands.
Slowly pull the ribbed belt in direction of arrow using substantial force and remove it from the P.A.S. vane pump -7- and then from the other belt pulleys.
Installing ribbed belt
First place the ribbed belt on tensioning roller -1-, then on alternator -2-, idler roller -3-, vibration damper -4-, idler roller -5- and as far as possible on air conditioner compressor -6-.
Grasp the ribbed belt -arrows- with both hands and slowly pull it over P.A.S. vane pump.
Turn engine over by hand in engine direction of rotation and ensure ribbed belt seats correctly in the running grooves in the belt pulley.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
