- automatically controlled air conditioner
Note
The colour coding of the connecting element on the control motor is being gradually discontinued from 10.2013 onwards (for both the factory-fitted connecting elements and the replacement connecting elements). In addition, the replacement connecting elements for the control motors are no longer pre-assembled

and

.
The control motors and the corresponding connecting elements are different. However, in some cases the differences are so small that they cannot always be identified at first glance. If a version other than the intended control motor or connecting element is installed, this usually leads to problems which only show up during the subsequent basic setting

(Guided Fault Finding).
Caution
Problems occur with the operation of the air conditioner (heater) if incorrect component versions have been installed.
The different control motor versions can only be distinguished from the outside by their part numbers.
If possible, only remove a control motor if the new component is available for installation.
Before installing a control motor, check carefully to ensure that the correct version is being installed.
If possible, only dispose of the removed components once you have checked that the newly installed components function correctly.

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
