📋 Procedure

1. Tighten bolts for crankcase breather system in the sequence (1 ... 10) to 11 Nm. — 11 Nm (8.1 lb-ft)
2. Use straight edge and feeler gauge to measure cylinder head for distortion at several points.
3. Remove bolts (arrows).
4. Slacken cylinder head bolts in the sequence (1 ... 10).
5. Tighten cylinder head bolts in the sequence (1 ... 10) as follows:

6. Tighten with torque wrench initially to 40 Nm. — 40 Nm (30 lb-ft)
7. Use rigid wrench to turn 90° further.
8. Use rigid wrench to turn 90° further.
9. Pre-tighten bolts (arrows) to 8 Nm. — 8 Nm (5.9 lb-ft)
10. Turn bolts (arrows) 90° further using a rigid wrench.
