Fits: Audi A2 (8Z)
Don't miss
- The target fresh-air blower speed appears as a bar chart on the display of the operating and display unit for air conditioner/Climatronic E87.
- In order to ensure that the fresh-air blower V2 starts up reliably, the first bar corresponds to approx. 3.5 to 4.5 V.
📋 Procedure
- Switch off the ignition.
- Disconnect the adapterV.A.G 1598/11 and adapterV.A.G 1598/12 from the test box.
- Connect the operating and display unit for air conditioner/Climatronic E87 to the vehicle wiring harness.
- Remove the glove compartment. General Body Assembly, Interior; Repair group 68
- Unplug connector (A) from the fresh-air blower control unit J126.
- Measure the voltage between contact (2) (or contact (5)) and contact (4) on connector (A) [Note: If there is no connection to contact (2), check whether there is a connection to contact (5). The fresh-air blower control unit J126 can be powered via both inputs. If the voltage is below the battery voltage, repair the voltage supply or earth connection in accordance with the current flow diagram.]
- Attach connector (A) to the fresh-air blower control unit J126.
- Unplug connector (A) from the fresh-air blower V2.
- Connect the multimeter leadsVAS 5051/7 to connector (A)
- Set the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information systemVAS 5051 to "“measuring instrument: voltage measurement”" mode.
- Switch on the ignition.
- Set the operating and display unit for air conditioner/Climatronic E87 to "“Auto”" mode.
- Change the fresh-air blower speed by pressing the "“+”" and "“-”" speed control buttons on the operating and display unit for air conditioner/Climatronic E87. [Note: The target fresh-air blower speed appears as a bar chart on the display of the operating and display unit for air conditioner/Climatronic E87.]
- In order to ensure that the fresh-air blower V2 starts up reliably, the first bar corresponds to approx. 3.5 to 4.5 V.
- The voltage is increased by approx. 0.7 V with each additional bar.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
