📋 Procedure

1. Unscrew plug (arrow).
2. Connect tandem pump testerVAS 5187 as shown.
3. Start engine and run at idling speed.
4. Connect and choose operating mode "“Vehicle self-diagnosis”". Access engine electronics control unit by entering "“01”".
5. Press diagnostic function "“08-Read measured value block”".

6. Enter display group "“1”" using numeric key pad, and confirm entry with Q key.
7. Read off idling speed in display field 1.
8. Increase speed to 1500 rpm.
9. Check displayed pressure on pressure gauge. Specification: at least 7.5 bar
10. Press ←.
11. Press "“06 - End output”" function.
12. Renew tandem pump . [Note: After removing pressure gauge, tighten plug to specified torque.Always renew plug with seal.]
