  3. If fitted, push noise insulation of electrical air conditioner compressor V470(5) aside or detach it partly in order to gain access to connectors and bolts.
  4. Using , initiate basic setting, then perform function "Charge refrigerant circuit". [Note: Always perform the basic setting "“Charge refrigerant circuit”" using the , to make sure that all valves of the refrigerant circuit are opened. This is the only way to extract the complete refrigerant from the circuit. The must not be disconnected from the vehicle during the entire extraction, evacuation and charging process. To prevent the intrusion of moisture, all components of the refrigerant circuit which have been opened must be sealed with suitable plugs.]
  5. Extract refrigerant with air conditioning service station. Comply with notes .
  6. Separate connector (2) from electric air conditioner compressor V470(5).
  7. Separate high voltage cable (3) from electric air conditioner compressor V470(5).
  8. Disconnect earth wire (4) from electrical air conditioner compressor V470(5).

  15. Only start engine after refrigerant circuit has been assembled.
  16. Only start engine when refrigerant circuits are charged. [Note: The contact points of the electrical air conditioner compressor V470 and the engine must be checked prior to installation. The contact surfaces must be clean, rust- and grease-free.]

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.

Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
