Removing and installing wheel arch trim - left load bed — AUDI
Removing and installing wheel arch trim - left load bed on Audi: 11 steps. What to remove, in what order, and what to check after.
The left load bed wheel arch trim on the platform codes listed below is bonded on with double-sided tape as well as bolted, so there is a heat stage on removal and a positioning stage on refit. Bolts (3) come out, the trim is warmed with hot air blower V.A.G 1416, one corner is lifted with removal wedge 3409 and the panel is pulled off. For the new trim, PUR adhesive sealing material goes under the double-sided tape, the trim is placed with the assembly tool on the swage line and the transition to the cargo box is checked. It is bolted on with the rear wheel housing liner bolts, the tape backing is peeled from the tank cut-out outwards, then under the tank flap cut-out, and the trim is pressed on hard across the whole tape area. Get the line right before the backing comes off.
🧭 Before you start

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
