🧭 Before you start
Fits: Audi Q7 (4M, 2015–)
📋 Procedure
- Remove heater and air conditioning unit .
- Unplug electrical connector (B) and move wiring harness (A) clear.
- Remove bolts (B).
- Lift the air duct (A) in the area of the rear fresh air blower (C) and remove in (arrow direction).
- Unplug electrical connector (6).
- Remove bolts (1, 5 and 7).
- Release catches (2) and lift the fresh air blower (3) away from the housing slightly (arrows A).
- Release catch (3) and swivel fresh air blower in direction of (arrow A).
- Remove fresh air blower while guiding the wiring harness through the opening in the housing.
- Check the evaporator for dirt and the accompanying seals (B) for proper attachment and damage.
- Check condensation drain (arrow) for dirt. [Note: If V80 and the evaporator are replaced at the same time, fit V80 first and then the new evaporator. The foam seal at the new evaporator (B) is not pre-formed and must first be pressed together. This is not so easy with V80.Pressure marks at the foam seal at the evaporator (B) of V80 are not an indication of damage but are intended to facilitate assembly.]
- Check the connecting points (A, B) (tongue and groove joint) for damage.
- Perform basic setting and final control diagnosis for the air conditioner in "“Guided Fault Finding”" mode. [Note: The control motors on this vehicle are equipped with electronics. A new control motor only learns its position at the heater and air conditioning unit in the course of basic setting and can then be activated by the rear Climatronic operating and display unit E265 (all control motors are identical at present) in "“Guided Fault Finding”" mode. While you are performing the basic setting, the control motors are assigned and adapted in accordance with the series connection of the wiring. If the sequence is not as specified, the control motors will not be adapted properly and the flaps will not be controlled correctly Overview of control motors of air conditioner.]
- Interrogate the event memory of E265 and E87 and erase any faults displayed in "“Guided Fault Finding”" mode.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
