Removing and installing pressure differential sender G505 or pressure differential sender 2 G524 — AUDI
Removing and installing pressure differential sender G505 or pressure differential sender 2 G524 on Audi: factory workshop procedure for engines BMC, BTR.
Workshop procedure for AUDI — the factory write-up, straight from real workshop data.
📋 Procedure
ℹ️ Torque figures below come verbatim from workshop data — always cross-check against your vehicle's factory manual before final tightening.
Removing and installing
pressure differential sender
G505
or
pressure differential sender 2
G524
The
pressure differential sender
G505
is connected to a take-off point upstream of the particulate filter (right-side, bank 1) via a pipe.
The second measuring line is approx. 7 cm in length and free to atmosphere (relative pressure sensor concept).
The
pressure differential sender
G505
detects the amount of deposits in the particulate filter (right-side).
The
pressure differential sender 2
G524
is connected to a take-off point upstream of the particulate filter (left-side, bank 2) via a pipe.
The second measuring line is approx. 7 cm in length and free to atmosphere (relative pressure sensor concept).
The
pressure differential sender 2
G524
detects the amount of deposits in the particulate filter (left-side).

Note
Blow through hoses (towards particulate filter) with compressed air to remove dirt or ice (frozen condensation).
Make sure that hoses are securely fitted and that there are no leaks.
If pressure pipe has been released from particulate filter, tighten to 45 Nm.
Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment)

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
