📋 Procedure
Removing and installing exhaust gas pressure sensor 1
G450
/ pressure differential sender
G505
Note
The pressure differential sender
G505 detects the amount of deposits in the particulate filter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
Hose clip pliers

Removing
Note
Secure all heat insulation sleeves in the same locations when installing.
Remove engine cover panel (see the separate procedure).
Remove bolt (1).
Note
Disregard item 2.
Release hose clips (arrows) and disconnect hoses from metering tubes of exhaust gas pressure sensors.
Open heat insulation sleeve (1).
Unplug electrical connectors
2, 3 and move electrical wiring clear.
Detach electrical connector (4) for exhaust gas temperature sender 1
G235 from bracket, unplug connector and move electrical wiring clear.
Unscrew bolts (5) and detach bracket with exhaust gas pressure sensors.
Remove bolts (arrows) and detach heat shield (1).
Exhaust gas pressure sensor 1
G450:
Remove bolt (2) and detach exhaust gas pressure sensor 1
G450 from bracket.
Spray hose with suitable release agent before disconnecting it from exhaust gas pressure sensor 1
G450.
Loosen hose clip (1).
Caution
Risk of irreparable damage to pressure sensor if the connection breaks off.
Carefully disconnect hose from connection, taking care to keep hose straight.
Pressure differential sender
G505:
Remove bolt (3) and detach pressure differential sender
G505 from bracket.
Spray hose (4) with suitable release agent before disconnecting it from pressure differential sender
G505.
Loosen hose clip (2).
Caution
Irreparable damage to pressure differential sender can be caused if the connection breaks off.
Carefully disconnect hose from connection, taking care to keep hose straight.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
Note
Before installing, blow out control pipes from exhaust gas pressure sensors to particulate filter towards particulate filter with compressed air (pipes can become obstructed or may ice up due to condensation).
Make sure that hose is securely fitted and that there are no leaks.
Secure all hose connections with correct type of hose clips (as original equipment)
Electronic parts catalogue.
Install engine cover panel (see the separate procedure).

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
