Removing
Remove securing clips -2- and -3-.
Detach throttle cable -1- at throttle valve body and support bracket (do not remove throttle cable retainer -4-). Move throttle cable to the side.
Detach connector -arrow- from idling stabilisation valve.
Detach the vacuum pipe -3- to the brake servo.
Unplug connectors at fan run-on thermoswitch -4-.
Detach connector -2- from throttle switch.
Lay wiring aside.
Detach hose -1- of intake air preheater from warm air arrester plate on exhaust manifold.
Remove the air intake cowl -arrows-.
Remove the crankcase breather hose -arrows-.
Unbolt rear crankcase ventilation pipe from the cylinder head.
Unbolt the injector retaining bar -1- and -2-.
Remove the injectors with fuel lines connected from the intake manifold.
Note:
Ensure that the fuel lines are not kinked.
Disconnect wires/unplug connectors:
1 -
Crankcase ventilation hose
2 -
Connection on throttle valve unit to activated carbon filter solenoid valve 1 -N80
3 -
Connection on throttle valve unit to intake air preheater
4 -
Cold start valve -N17
Detach the cold start valve with the fuel line connected from the intake manifold.
Unscrew the threaded connections -2- and remove intake manifold support.
Unscrew bolt -3-.
Unscrew CO test pipe from the exhaust manifold -1-.
Unbolt the warm air arrester plate.
Unscrew nuts and bolts securing intake manifold to cylinder head.
Remove intake manifold.
Note:
Plug intake ports on cylinder head with clean cloths.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
