Removing and installing front parking aid warning buzzer — AUDI
Removing and installing front parking aid warning buzzer on Audi: 6 steps, 1 torque figure. What to remove, what to tighten and to how many Nm, what to.
This front parking aid warning buzzer H22 is fitted on the 2K0/2C0 platform codes listed below and sits behind the left of the dash panel, beneath the onboard supply control unit. With ignition and all loads off and the key out, the relay carrier above the onboard supply control unit is removed, the data bus diagnostic interface is laid aside still plugged in, and the onboard supply control unit is pulled out and moved aside with its harness attached. The buzzer is held by two expansion rivets; pull their pins, ease it out within the reach of its lead, and release the connector. Keeping the control units connected but well supported is the main care point, and the 2 Nm plastic screws on refit must not be overtightened.
🧭 Before you start
Switch everything off and remove the relay carrier on the left of the dash. Lay the data bus diagnostic interface and onboard supply control unit aside without unplugging them. Pull the expansion rivet pins, free buzzer H22, unplug it and remove it. Refit in reverse with the plastic screws at 2 Nm and check the parking aid tone.
Fits: VW Caddy III (2K, 2004–2015); platform code 2C0
Don't miss
- Ignition off, all loads off and key out before reaching behind the dash.
- Leave the control units plugged in and support them; do not hang them on their harnesses.
- Mind the lead length when drawing the buzzer out of its position.
- Plastic screws only 2 Nm; they strip easily.

🔩 Torque settings
Values can differ between engine variants — check the code stamped on your block.
| Torque | Fastener / step |
|---|---|
| 2 Nm (1.5 lb-ft) | Tighten plastic screws |
ℹ️ Always cross-check the exact figure against your vehicle's factory manual before final tightening — a wrong torque can damage the engine. These values are extracted from workshop data and may not cover every variant or revision.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
