  1. Using e.g. a commercially available gripper tool, pull filter element (F) upwards out of receiver of condenser.
  2. Seal open receiver with plug (A) to prevent ingress of dirt and moisture. [Note: The plug, O-ring and desiccant cartridge must always be renewed after the receiver has been opened Electronic parts catalogue.]
  3. Check threads and sealing surfaces of receiver at condenser for dirt or damage via opening. [Note: Keep bag with air-tight seal containing desiccant cartridge closed as long as possible. Only open bag immediately before inserting desiccant cartridge in receiver of condenser. After opening bag, desiccant cartridge soon becomes saturated with moisture from ambient air and becomes unusable.Lubricate O-ring of plug slightly with refrigerant oil before fitting .]
  4. Lubricate filter element (F) in area of sealing surface (J) lightly with refrigerant oil before fitting .
  5. Using a suitable tool (K), insert filter element (F) as far as it will go in correct position in mounting on receiver, taking care not to damage webs (H)
  6. Assemble plug (A) with O-rings (B) and (C) and support ring (D).

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.

Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
