  1. By way of the opening (B) in the floor panel (C) check the insulating mat spacing (in the engine compartment). This must be sufficient to prevent contact with the flap (D) so that condensate can drain out of the drain opening.
  2. Check the installation position of the floor covering (E). The cross-section of the condensation drain hose (A) must not be constricted.
  3. Check for contamination of the condensation drain of the air conditioning unit (B) (with a piece of wire, for example) and clean if necessary.
  4. Insert condensation drain in opening in lower floor panel (C).
  5. Attach the condensation drain hose (A) correctly to the condensation drain of the air conditioning unit (B) (flap (D) opening must be at bottom) and secure the connection with a clip if necessary.
  6. Check the installation position of the floor covering. The cross-section of the condensation drain hose (A) must not be constricted.
  7. Fit the dash panel trim beneath the glove box General body repairs, interior70. [Note: The condensate hose must be firmly attached to the connection of the air conditioning unit. The condensate hose to the valve (flap) must not be kinked or crushed.]

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
