Fits: Audi R8 (4S, 2015–)

Don't miss

  • The condensation drain hoses (left and right) (1) must be fully engaged with tension in the body opening in the floorpan(4).
  • If the bracket with the condensation drain hose is properly positioned in the body opening and at the connection of the heater and air conditioning unit, the condensation drain hose must be checked for dirt.

📋 Procedure

  1. Switch off ignition.
  2. ⚠ Risk of injury from knee airbag. Before working in the vicinity of pyrotechnic components, the mechanic must "“discharge static electricity”". 3. Remove right E-box and place to one side Electrical system97Relay carrier, fuse carrier, E-boxes; Overview of fitting locations - Relay carriers, fuse carriers, E-boxes. If necessary, unfasten the control unit retainer and tilt sideways (for right condensation drain (A)).
  4. Use impermeable sheeting and absorbent paper to protect the E-box and area underneath the condensation drain (A).

  1. Remove accelerator pedal module Fuel supply20Accelerator mechanism; Removing and installing accelerator pedal module with accelerator position sender G79/G185.
  2. Carefully press floor covering to the side and protect area beneath condensation drain hose (B) with waterproof sheeting and absorbent paper.
  3. The condensation drain hoses (left and right) (1) must be fully engaged with tension in the body opening in the floorpan(4).
  4. Check that condensation drain (1) is seated firmly at connection of heater and air conditioning unit (6).
  5. If the bracket with the condensation drain hose is properly positioned in the body opening and at the connection of the heater and air conditioning unit, the condensation drain hose must be checked for dirt.
  6. Remove condensation drain hose .
  7. Check distance between condensation drain opening (1) and heat shield (3).
  8. Check for dirt in connections for condensation drain of heater and air conditioning unit (6) and clean with a piece of wire if necessary. [Note: If the electrical connectors at the control motors for the air intake box were interchanged, the air flow flap and the fresh air/air recirculation flap might be incorrectly activated Removing and installing air intake box of heater and air conditioning unit.]
  9. Check temperature of air flowing out of evaporator under usage conditions described by customer or with the following settings on operating units:
  10. Make the following settings on the front air conditioner operating and display unit E87(1): [Note: The indication in the rotary/pushbutton controls (2, 4, 6) and the buttons (3, 5, 7) is only visible when the ignition is switched on and goes out when the ignition is switched off.If the fresh air blower speed is changed manually, the lamp in the AUTO button of rotary/pushbutton control (4) goes out.]
  11. Open all vents in the doors and the dash panel.
  12. "“Read measured values”" in "“Guided Fault Finding”" mode (for E87(1)).
  13. Check display in display zones:
  14. If measured value of evaporator output temperature sender G263 is too low (at ambient temperature above 0 °C, colder than 0 °C for lengthy period) or too high (above e.g. 10 °C although heater and air conditioner is functioning properly), observe notes on checking cooling output (Pay particular attention to the notes on icing at the evaporator Fault finding if ice forms at evaporator).

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.

Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
