Coupling rod
At the start of series production, the coupling rod with two ball joints was superseded by a coupling rod with one ball joint and one bonded rubber bush. The end with the bonded rubber bush is bolted to the anti-roll bar. Mixed installation of different versions on the same vehicle is not permissible.

Drive shaft
Tightening torque at final drive end
Item
Do not let drive shaft hang down under its own weight when performing repair work, as otherwise excessive bending could damage inner CV joint.
10
Countersunk bolt
70 Nm + turn 90° further
Always renew

Wheel bearing housing
Different versions possible: aluminium and steel (installation of steel and aluminium versions possible on same vehicle). For correct version refer to
Electronic parts catalogue
Only aluminium wheel bearing housings are available as replacement parts. Consequently, certain other components may have to be renewed or fitted in addition when installing a new wheel bearing housing

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
