📋 Procedure

  1. Pull vacuum hose (1) off at outer connection of charge pressure control solenoid valve N75.
  2. Pull vacuum hose (2) off at outer connection of exhaust gas recirculation cooler changeover valve N345.
  3. Connect hand vacuum pumpVAS 6213 to the two valves one after the other and then generate a partial vacuum of 0.6 bar.
  4. Observe pressure gauge of hand vacuum pumpVAS 6213 for approx. 30 seconds.
  5. Replace a leaking valve.

  1. Seal vacuum hoses (1) and (2) with clean bungs from engine bung setVAS 6122.
  2. Pull vacuum hose (1) off connecting piece (2).
  3. Seal connecting piece (2) with a clean bung from engine bung setVAS 6122.
  4. Pull vacuum hose (1) off T-piece (2).
  5. Connect hand vacuum pumpVAS 6213 to removed end of vacuum hose and generate a partial vacuum of 0.6 bar.
  6. Observe pressure gauge of hand vacuum pumpVAS 6213 for approx. 30 seconds.
  7. Locate damage or leaking vacuum hose connection. To do this, pull individual vacuum hoses off from respective connection and check for leak to connected component.
  8. Pull off vacuum hoses (1) and (2) at connector (arrow) and check non-return valve and vacuum hose to exhaust gas recirculation cooler changeover valve N345.
  9. Locate damage or leaking vacuum hose connection.
  10. Renew non-return valve or leaking vacuum hose.
  11. Reconnect all vacuum hoses to valves and to connecting piece (arrow).
  12. Pull vacuum hose (arrow) off vacuum reservoir. Seal opening of vacuum hose with clean bung from engine bung setVAS 6122.
  13. Connect hand vacuum pumpVAS 6213 to pulled-off end of vacuum hose (1) and generate a partial vacuum of 0.6 bar.
  14. Observe pressure gauge of hand vacuum pumpVAS 6213 for approx. 30 seconds.
  15. If vacuum hose (1) leaks, renew it.
  16. Connect hand vacuum pumpVAS 6213 to vacuum reservoir and generate a partial vacuum of 0.6 bar.
  17. Observe pressure gauge of hand vacuum pumpVAS 6213 for approx. 30 seconds.
  18. If cylinder head cover leaks, renew it .
  19. Check following vacuum hoses:

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.

Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
