📋 Procedure
- Observe test conditions .
- Open tank flap.
- Remove filler cap (arrow) for fuel filler neck.
- ⚠ Risk of injury caused by fuel.To allow the fuel pressure to dissipate, wrap a clean cloth around the connection and carefully loosen the connection before opening the fuel system. — Press release tabs, disconnect fuel hose (1) and move clear. [Note: Disregard (arrows).]
- Connect pressure testerVAS 6550 to fuel supply line with hoseVAS 6550/2.
- Attach hoseVAS 6550/1 and hold end of hose into fuel-resistant measuring container.
- ⚠ Risk of fuel escaping.Make sure that drain tap (C) is closed. The lever should point perpendicular to direction of flow. — Open cut-off valves (A and B).
- Connect vehicle diagnostic tester.
- Switch on the ignition and select the following menu options on the vehicle diagnostic tester: [Note: To measure the fuel delivery rate, pressure must first be built up in the fuel line; the fuel pump must then operate against this pressure during the measurement. This pressure can be built up using the pressure testerVAS 6550 as follows:]
- Build up pressure in fuel system by pressing Start. Fuel pump will start running; at this point slowly close cut-off valve (B) on pressure tester.
- From this point on do not move position of cut-off valve.
- Press Stop.
- Drain measuring container.
- For measurement, press Start again and let fuel pump run for 15 seconds.
- Press Stop after 15 seconds.
- Check amount of fuel delivered in measuring container.
- Connect fuel line, making sure it engages audibly.
- Press fuel line in again and then pull to check that plug-in connector is correctly engaged.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
