Note
If one of the three propshaft tubes is damaged, the entire propshaft need not be renewed. The respective propshaft tube can be renewed together with constant velocity joints or flanges.
The centre and rear propshaft tubes can only be renewed together. Otherwise rumbling and droning noises may result.
The propshaft tubes and the above-named parts are balanced together. They cannot be balanced with workshop equipment. Therefore, an individual propshaft tube can be renewed only together with the above-named parts.
Keep propshaft straight; only store and transport fully extended.
Before dismantling, mark positions of all parts in relation to each other. Assemble in same position; otherwise an imbalance may be created which causes damage to bearing and rumbling noises.

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.

Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
