- ⚠ Take great care when handling the gas discharge bulb (ensure the bulb is not stressed mechanically). The bulb glass is extremely fragile and has a high internal pressure. When installing cap, ensure that it seats properly. The ingress of water will lead to permanent damage to the headlight.Do not touch bulb glass when fitting gas discharge bulb. Fingers leave traces of grease on the glass, which vaporise when the bulb is switched on and cause the glass to cloud over. — Insert new bulb so that locking lugs (arrows) engage in recess on reflector.
- Insert retaining ring so that locking pins (arrows) of retaining ring engage in recesses of reflector housing.
- Lock retaining ring by turning it clockwise as far as it will go. [Note: On the Bora, make sure that the connector is connected to the gas discharge bulb (arrow) in the way shown in the illustration. Otherwise you will not be able to fit the headlight cap.]

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
