  1. Disconnect connector (2) from pressure differential sender G505.
  2. Unscrew bolts (3) and (4).
  3. Unscrew securing nuts (2) from lower bracket of particulate filter.
  4. Place particulate filter aside.
  5. Remove securing bolt on the retaining clamp (arrow) for the oil return line on the turbocharger support.
  6. Remove only right connecting pipe (A) to exhaust gas recirculation cooler, as illustrated.
  7. Unscrew upper bolt (arrow) from support on turbocharger.
  8. Release oil supply line banjo bolt at crankcase.
  9. Release banjo bolt for turbocharger support at crankcase.
  10. Release combination flange (oil supply/return) at turbocharger.
  11. Unscrew released connections.
  12. Remove combination flange (oil supply and return) together with turbocharger support. If necessary, loosen double clamp and align silencer and exhaust pipe so that sufficient clearance is maintained to the bodywork and the support rings are evenly loaded.]
  13. Place combined flange (oil supply and return line) on turbocharger and turbocharger support on turbocharger and crankcase.
  14. Fit oil supply line in position on crankcase.
  15. First bolt turbocharger support to crankcase and turbocharger by hand.
  16. Then tighten turbocharger support bolts on crankcase and turbocharger in stages and alternately up to the specified torque.
  17. Next tighten the bolts on the combined flange and the banjo bolt for the oil supply line on the crankcase.
  18. Finally tighten the bolt on the oil supply line/turbocharger support clamp.
  19. Further assembly is carried out in the reverse order of removal. [Note: When installing the exhaust temperature sender with angled cable guide, the measurement (a) of 3 … 5 mm from the turbocharger support threaded connection must be adhered to.]

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
