Don't miss

  • Clean high-pressure accumulator (e.g. with commercial cleaning solution) before removing.
  • Seal off high-pressure accumulator opening immediately with a suitable plug to prevent dirt from entering.
  • Counterhold on housing hexagon then loosen threaded union. Then, unscrew regulating valve by hand.
  • Extract dirt from bore of fuel rail (threads and sealing surface). Do not use tools or other instruments for this purpose.
  • Counterhold on housing hexagon and tighten threaded union.

  4. Install new O-ring with damaging it electronic parts catalogue.
  5. Tighten threaded unions of fuel pressure regulating valve N276 by hand the parts catalogue (electronic parts catalogue].
  6. Align new fuel pressure regulating valve N276 so that connecting wire is free of tension after connector is attached.
  7. Counterhold on housing hexagon and tighten threaded union.
  8. Install high-pressure accumulator .
  9. After installing, leave engine running at moderate speed for a few minutes and then switch off again.
  10. Check fuel system for leaks. [Note: If the fuel pressure regulating valve N276 or the high-pressure pump have been exchanged, the learnt values for the regulating valve must be reset using the vehicle diagnosis tester: Guided functions; Resetting learnt values for fuel pressure regulating valve.]
  11. Read event memory.
  12. Then road-test the vehicle. Accelerate with full throttle at least once, then check the high-pressure section again for leaks.
  13. Read event memory again.

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.

Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
