Removing and installing fresh air blower V2: VW Sharan II / SEAT Alhambra
Step-by-step removing and installing fresh air blower V2 for the VW Sharan II / SEAT Alhambra: 10 steps, 3 torque figures.
Changing the fresh air blower V2 from the front passenger footwell, on platform code 7N1 and the 16 variants grouped under it. It is a short job done entirely from inside the car. The plastic bolts and the footwell trim panel come off first, then the glove compartment and the footwell vent, which clears the way to the blower in the heater unit. The connector is unplugged, the catch released and the blower turned to unlock it from the housing before it is withdrawn. Fitting is the reverse. The two points that need care are the catch, which does not like being forced, and the cable routing, which must go back exactly as it was so nothing rubs or rattles.
🧭 Before you start
Remove the plastic bolts and passenger footwell trim, the glove compartment and the footwell vent. Unplug the blower, release the catch, turn the blower and withdraw it from the heater unit. Install in reverse order with the wiring routed correctly, then refit the vent, glove compartment and trim.
Fits: VW Sharan II / SEAT Alhambra (7N, 2010–)
Don't miss
- Release the catch before turning the blower; do not force it.
- Route the cables exactly as before when installing.
- Unplug the connector before releasing the blower.
- General practice: run the blower through all speeds before refitting the trim.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
