Don't miss
- To ease fitting, coat seal (1) with soapy water. Do not coat those areas which are to be bonded with the sealing cord with soapy water.
- Slide seal onto metal flange from rear. Seal cut-off must be guided under centre roof section.
- Apply a thin ring of 1K adhesive sealantD 469 101 A3 on water drain pipe. No adhesive must enter pipe.

📋 Procedure
- Use butyl adhesive sealing cordD 450 273 A2 to do this.
- Clean seal (1) contact surface on roof side member (2).
- Position butyl adhesive sealing cord into position and carefully flatten the sealing cord around the corners (3 and 5) and on the surface (4).
- Also seal front seal insert (6) with butyl adhesive sealing cordD 450 273 A2.
- To ease fitting, coat seal (1) with soapy water. Do not coat those areas which are to be bonded with the sealing cord with soapy water.
- Slide seal onto metal flange from rear. Seal cut-off must be guided under centre roof section.
- Press outer seal into securing rail (4) from rear to centre.
- Press inner seal (2) onto roof side member from rear to centre.
- Press tip of front seal into roof side member.
- Secure inner seal completely in roof side member.
- Secure outer seal completely in roof side member.
- Again press seal forcefully onto rear metal flange.
- Tighten bolt (3). Specified torque: 9.5 Nm — 9.5 Nm (7.0 lb-ft)
- Apply a thin ring of 1K adhesive sealantD 469 101 A3 on water drain pipe. No adhesive must enter pipe.
- Push water drain hose onto water drain pipe and secure cable tie.
