📋 Procedure
- Tighten internal puller (B) between tapered roller bearing/outer ring and washer. [Note: Tighten internal puller(B) between tapered roller bearing/outer ring and shim .After pulling out, renew washer .Instead of using the internal puller 46 … 58 mmKukko 21/7, it is also possible to use the internal puller 56 … 70 mmKukko 21/8.]
- First, insert washer .
- Place thrust plate40-105 on differential cage.
- Clamp puller(A), e.g. Kukko 204/2, in vicinity of flat sides of differential cage behind inner race. [Note: When pulling off inner race, ensure that hooks do not bend outwards, further tightening bolt (arrow) if necessary.]
- ⚠ Wear protective gloves! — Set sleeve 3301/3 from assembly tool3301 with notch (arrow) (larger inner diameter) on tapered roller bearing inner race.
- Support gearbox housing with tube3345 directly below bearing support.
- Drive spring pin (A) out of hole (arrow) in differential cage using drift pin, ∅ 5 mm (B). [Note: If there is no hole (arrow) in the differential cage, then proceed as follows in order to drive out the spring pin:First drive spring pin (1) flush into differential pinion pin (2).Set differential under press with spring pin (arrow) facing towards extension30 - 23.Then, press out differential pinion pin.Remove any sheared-off parts of spring pin from differential cage and differential pinion pin.]
- Lubricate one-piece thrust washer with gear oil and install.
- Install both sun wheels and secure (e.g. with flange shaft).
- Insert planet pinions offset 180° and pivot into position.
- Press in differential pinion pin ((arrow A)) to first planet pinion.
- Drive differential pinion pin into final position and secure with spring pin .
- Align hole in differential pinion pin with hole in differential cage.
- Using a drift, drive in spring pin (1) until dimension (a) = 2.5 ± 0.5 mm is attained.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
