Checking oil pressure and oil pressure switch (engine code CCZA) — VW

Checking oil pressure and oil pressure switch (engine code CCZA) on VW: 18 steps, engines CCZA, CCZB, CDAA, CDAB.

Workshop procedure for VW — the exact step sequence and torque figures, straight from real workshop data.

18 steps 4 engine codes

🧭 Before you start

Fits: platform codes 5C7, 5C1

  • Renewed: oil pump, oil pressure switch

Don't miss

  • During the first 1000 km the oil pressure could be 3.0 to 4.0 bar at 2000 rpm.
  • Mechanical damage, e.g. to bearings, could also be the cause for oil pressure being too low.
  • Start engine. At 0.55…0.85 bar, the LED must light up, otherwise renew oil pressure switch.
  • Start engine and increase engine speed. At 2.15…2.95 bar, the LED must light up, otherwise renew oil pressure switch.

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.

Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
