🧭 Before you start

Fits: VW Sharan II / SEAT Alhambra (7N, 2010–)

  • Special tools named: VAS 6551

Don't miss

  • The fuel pump is now activated for 30 seconds.
  • If the specified pressure is not attained, carry out "“test sequence for fuel filter”". Reason may be a blocked fuel filter.
  • If the specified pressure is not attained, carry out "“test sequence on fuel filter”". Reason: fuel line may be pinched or kinked.
  • Press in securing ring to release fuel lines.

📋 Procedure

  1. ⚠ Fuel supply line may be pressurised. Wear eye protection and protective clothing to avoid eye injuries and skin contact. Before loosening hose connections, wrap a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully pulling hose off connection. — Remove engine cover panel .
  2. Open clamp and pull fuel supply line (arrow) off the high-pressure pump.
  3. Place connecting nippleVAS 6551/5-1 in supply line and secure with clamp.
  4. Connect hoseVAS 6551/2 between connecting nippleVAS 6551/5-1 and connection point »A« of pressure tester (diesel)VAS 6551.
  5. Connect hoseVAS 6551/1 to connection point »B« of pressure tester (diesel)VAS 6551.

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.

Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
