Exhaust manifold
Coat studs with
high temperature paste
G 052 118 A3

Gasket
Renew.
Note installation position:
Recess

Connector

Centre Lambda probe of catalytic converter

, 55 Nm
Remove and install with
Lambda probe open ring spanner set

.
The screw thread on a new Lambda probe is coated with assembly paste.
If reusing, lubricate only the threads of the Lambda probe with
high temperature paste
G 052 112 A3
. The paste must not come into contact with the slots on the probe body.
If seal is leaking, nip open and renew.

Align exhaust system free of stress before tightening clamp
