Torque reaction support with valve for torque reaction support N382 - exploded view — AUDI

Don't miss

• Pay attention to clips (arrows) on installation.
• Mark out drilling on lock carrier as illustrated according to dimensions (a) and (b).
• Drill a pilot hole and then drill out to 24 mm dia using the stepped centre bit.

📋 Procedure

1. Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
2. Turn light switch to position "“0”".
3. Remove bolts (arrows) securing exhaust pipe for auxiliary/additional heater to noise insulation.
4. Remove front noise insulation (1).
5. Remove front section of wheel housing liner (front left and front right) General body repairs, exterior66.

6. Remove front bumper cover General body repairs, exterior63.
7. Pull out clips (1).
8. Unscrew bolt (2) and remove cover. [Note: Pay attention to clips (arrows) on installation.]
9. Detach intake hose (1) from secondary air pump.
10. Unplug electrical connector (arrow).
11. Unplug electrical connector (1) from air mass meter.
12. Detach air mass meter from air intake hose (2).
13. Remove air cleaner housing (arrows).
14. Remove headlight (right-side) Electrical system94.
15. Compress retainer catches (arrows) and detach air duct from lock carrier (front right).
16. Remove bolts (arrows).
17. Detach air duct from lock carrier (rear right).
18. Mark out drilling on lock carrier as illustrated according to dimensions (a) and (b).
19. Drill a hole of 24 mm dia. [Note: Drill a pilot hole and then drill out to 24 mm dia using the stepped centre bit.]
20. Unclip wire (arrows).
21. Remove bolts (1) and (2) for torque reaction support.
22. Slacken bolt (3) a few turns.
23. Detach torque reaction support (arrow) from valve for torque reaction support N382.
24. Remove bolts (2) and (3).
25. Pivot torque reaction support to one side and unplug electrical connector (1).
26. Remove valve for torque reaction support N382. [Note: Renew all cable ties which are released or cut open when removing the engine. Refit in the same position when installing the engine.Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment) Parts catalogue.]
27. Plug in electrical connector (1) at valve for torque reaction support N382.
28. Fit valve for torque reaction support N382 and tighten bolts (2) and (3).
29. Turn adjuster ring (1) on valve for torque reaction support N382 clockwise to stop.
30. Secure bolts (1) and (3) for torque reaction support.
31. Turn adjuster ring (1) by hand anti-clockwise until it comes into contact with valve for torque reaction support N382.
32. Then turn adjuster ring one turn clockwise.
33. Tighten bolt (arrow) at valve for torque reaction support N382.
34. Clip in wire (arrows).
35. Install headlights 94.
36. Install front bumper cover General body repairs, exterior63.
37. Check headlight adjustment 404.
