Select function XX
Indicated on display:

Enter "06" for "End output" function and confirm entry with Q key.

Note:

If the intake air temperature sender is faulty, the Digifant control unit displays a particular substitute figure.

If there is no change to the readout in display zone 4:

With the ignition switched off, connect test box V.A.G 1598/18 to connector for engine control unit => Page
24-16.

Test for open circuit and short to earth/positive or earth in the following wiring connections:

Connector / of -G19 / Contact · Test box / V.A.G 1598/18 / Socket
1 · 37
4 · 35

Rectify any open/short circuit as necessary.
If the wiring and intake air temperature sender are OK, fit a new Digifant control unit => Page
24-18.

Notes:

After replacing the Digifant control unit , it is necessary to adapt the control unit and throttle valve potentiometer to each other =>Page

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.

Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
