Removing and installing window frame: Audi A6 C6

🧭 Before you start

Fits: Audi A6 C6 (4F, 2004–2011)

Don't miss

• To facilitate removal, you can use a silicone-free lubricant spray.
• Mark bolts (arrows B) for re-installation. Remove bolts.
• Make sure inside of door window is not damaged. — Carefully pull window frame (2) upwards out of door frame and simultaneously guide out wiring harness for exterior mirror through opening in door frame.

📋 Procedure

1. Lower door window as far as it will go.
2. Remove door trim 70.
3. Detach insulating mat (1) at upper section of door frame.
4. Pull door seal (2) out of groove on door frame.
5. Release cover (3) for exterior mirror in direction of (arrow).

6. Unplug electrical connector at door control unit (4) and at microphone (6) for exterior mirror.
7. Press grommet (5) for wiring harness out of door frame.
8. Detach rubber cover (1) on door lock side. [Note: To facilitate removal, you can use a silicone-free lubricant spray.]
9. Remove bolts (arrows A).
10. Mark bolts (arrows B) for re-installation. Remove bolts.
11. ⚠ Make sure inside of door window is not damaged. — Carefully pull window frame (2) upwards out of door frame and simultaneously guide out wiring harness for exterior mirror through opening in door frame.
