Removing and installing gas discharge bulbs L13/L14 - gas discharge headlights with cornering light — AUDI

• High voltage! Danger to life! Observe environmental requirements.Safety precautions when handling gas discharge bulbs . — Turn light switch to position "“0”".
• Do not flash the headlights.
• Plug connector in again and insert new gas discharge bulb in housing; do not touch glass part of bulb with bare hands.

📋 Procedure

1. ⚠ High voltage! Danger to life! Observe environmental requirements. Safety precautions when handling gas discharge bulbs (see the separate procedure). — Turn light switch to position "“0”".
2. Switch off ignition and all electrical equipment and remove ignition key.
3. Do not flash the headlights.
4. Remove front wheel housing liner General body repairs, exterior 66. Wheel housing liners; Removing and installing wheel housing liner (front).
5. Release housing cover (1) anti-clockwise (arrow) and detach from headlight.

6. Turn gas discharge bulb (3) anti-clockwise (arrow) and take out of housing.
7. Press retaining tab (2) to unplug electrical connector (1).
8. Release retaining clip (arrow A) and open adapter ring (2)(arrow B).
9. Disengage adapter ring at gas discharge bulb (1)(arrow C).
10. Position one half of adapter ring (3) with locating element at gas discharge bulb (2).
11. Close second half (1) of adapter ring until it engages audibly.
12. Plug connector in again and insert new gas discharge bulb in housing; do not touch glass part of bulb with bare hands.
