- Briefly open filler cap for fuel tank and close again.
- Remove bolts (arrows) on left under floor trim in luggage compartment and detach cover.

- Carefully pull out fuel gauge sender 2G169 and detach seal.
- Insert fuel gauge sender 2G169. [Note: The lever-type sender must press down the retainer attached to the pipes for the left suction jet pump. The left suction jet pump is thus pressed against the bottom of the fuel tank.If this is not the case, the left chamber of the fuel tank cannot be completely drained. The engine will stop due to fuel starvation, although the fuel tank still contains 10 ... 14 litres of fuel.]
- Look down the side of the opening into the fuel tank (arrow) when inserting the sender.
- Once you have checked that lever-type sender is engaged in retainer, press sender into opening and turn until the two arrows are exactly aligned.
- Tighten union nut using union nut tool3217.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
