Removing and installing floor covering, Coupé: Audi TT Mk2
Step-by-step removing and installing floor covering, Coupé for the Audi TT Mk2: 20 steps. What to remove, in what order, and what to check after.
Renewing the floor covering in the Audi TT Mk2 (8J) Coupé is mostly a matter of clearing the interior. Both front seats, the rear seat bench, the driver's dash panel cover, the entire centre console, the accelerator pedal module, the steering column universal joint cover, the lower A-pillar trims, sill trims, foot rest cover and front outer belt end fittings all come out first. The covering is then freed from its eight fasteners, retainers and omega clips and the wiring harnesses unhooked. Handle it carefully, as it tears at the openings, and fold it lengthwise to get it out through a door under the harness. The new one is located by sliding it fully forward until the holes for the pedal module, foot rest and joint cover line up.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
