Removing and installing brake pressure sender -1-G201, MK25 — AUDI
Removing and installing brake pressure sender -1-G201, MK25 on Audi: 8 steps. What to remove, in what order, and what to check after.
Brake pressure sender G201 on the Transporter T5 and T6 (7H/7E) screws into the hydraulic unit of the MK25 ABS/ESP system, so the hydraulic circuit is opened and the job ends with a full bleed. Note the radio code if the radio is coded, then disconnect the battery. Pack lint-free cloths around the control unit and hydraulic unit, and draw as much fluid as you can out of the reservoir with the filling and bleeding equipment before unplugging and unscrewing the sender, which keeps the spill small. Keeping fluid off the control unit connector and bleeding the system properly afterwards are what count here.
🧭 Before you start
Note the radio code and disconnect the battery. Lay cloths around the hydraulic and control units and extract as much fluid from the reservoir as possible. Unplug the connector and unscrew the sender. Fit the new sender, plug it in, bleed the brake system, reconnect the battery and code the radio.
Fits: VW Transporter T5 (7H), VW Transporter T6 (7E)
- Opens: brake fluid
Don't miss
- Empty the reservoir as far as possible before removing the sender to limit spillage.
- Protect the control unit and hydraulic unit from fluid with lint-free cloths.
- Bleed the complete brake system after fitting the new sender.
- Have the radio code ready before disconnecting the battery.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
