Workshop procedure for AUDI — the exact step sequence and torque figures, straight from real workshop data.
🧭 Before you start
Fits: VW Caddy III (2K, 2004–2015); platform code 2C0
Don't miss
- Ensure that dowel sleeves (3) are properly seated.Observe remarks on installation of air conditioner compressor .
🔩 Torque settings
Values can differ between engine variants — check the code stamped on your block.
| Torque | Fastener / step |
|---|---|
| 22 Nm (16 lb-ft) | Remove bolts |
| 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) | ⚠ Danger from escaping pressurised refrigerant!Freezing of skin and other body parts |
ℹ️ Always cross-check the exact figure against your vehicle's factory manual before final tightening — a wrong torque can damage the engine. These values are extracted from workshop data and may not cover every variant or revision.
📋 Procedure
- Extract refrigerant, e.g. with air conditioner service stationVAS 6007A before opening refrigerant circuit. Observe notes .
- Remove noise insulation under engine 50.

- Detach connector (arrow) of magnetic clutch from air conditioner compressor.
- Remove bolts (22 Nm ± 1 Nm) (1) from air conditioner compressor and separate refrigerant lines from air conditioner compressor. — 22 Nm (16 lb-ft)
- ⚠ Danger from escaping pressurised refrigerant!Freezing of skin and other body parts.Extract refrigerant and then immediately open refrigerant circuit. If the refrigerant was extracted more than 10 minutes before the opening of refrigerant circuit, the refrigerant must be extracted again. The pressure in the circuit will increase due to subsequent evaporation. — Remove hexagon bolts (25 Nm) (2) and remove air conditioner compressor. [Note: Ensure that dowel sleeves (3) are properly seated.Observe remarks on installation of air conditioner compressor .] — 25 Nm (18 lb-ft)

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
