  1. Interrupt compressed air supply at compressed air hose, and disconnect coupling (D) from connection on shut-off tap (A).
  2. Position SCR vacuum boxVAS 6557 in engine compartment, in immediate vicinity of filler neck.
  3. Guide end of hose (E) into filler neck and as far as possible towards bottom of tank for reducing agent, and open shut-off tap (B). [Note: The reducing agent is then drawn from the tank and into the SCR vacuum boxVAS 6557 by the vacuum. The capacity of the SCR vacuum boxVAS 6557 is approx. 7 litres. Repeat the process if the reducing agent tank contains more than 7 litres of the reducing agent.Due to the length of the SCR vacuum boxVAS 6557 extraction hose, only a part of the entire tank content can be extracted. To fully empty the tank without removing it, pull the moulded hose of the filler neck off the upper part of the tank, and guide the SCR vacuum boxVAS 6557 extraction hose directly into the tank .A tank which has been partially emptied can also be removed.]
  4. To empty vacuum boxVAS 6557, hold connection on shut-off tap (C) over suitable container and open shut-off taps (A) and (C).
  5. ⚠ Never reuse extracted reduction agent. For information on storage and disposal, see Service net → Environment → Workshop disposal.Request country-specific information concerning storage and disposal from your importer. — Flush out vacuum boxVAS 6557 carefully using water when work sequence is complete.

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.

Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
