Pre-assembling fuel pump (Bosch) and fuel supply pipe

Fit fuel supply pipe -2- with new tab-type hose clamp -4- at fuel pump -1- as shown.
To do so, align fuel supply pipe such that white stripe -arrow 5- at fuel supply pipe coincides with electrical connections.
Align tab-type hose clamp at an angle ofα= 45°to connection.
Use V.A.G 1275 to secure tab-type hose clamp.
c = 3 mm

Wind wiring -3- to fuel pump around fuel supply pipe.
Secure wiring with fuel-resistant cable tie at marked location.
a = Effective wire length 180 mm
b = 5 mm

Pre-assembling fuel pump (VDO) and fuel supply pipe

Fit fuel supply pipe -2- with new tab-type hose clamp -4- at fuel pump -1- as shown.
To do so, align fuel supply pipe such that white mark -arrow 5- at fuel supply pipe is at an angle ofβ= 10°to electrical connections.

Who makes these pages, and how

TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.

The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.

Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
