To stop them jumping out, firmly secure metal housing cover and plastic bearing cap at both cable outlets -arrows- with cable ties.
Note:
The two cable ties are never to be removed in the course of repair work, as otherwise servicing is no longer possible.
Screw out bolts for gear unit cover -arrows-.
Pull cable reel off gear unit housing by tilting back and forth slightly by hand in direction of arrow. Take care not to damage sealing surfaces.
The 3 damping elements in the recesses may drop out (take care not to lose them)
Pull dust protection and transportation safeguard off new motor in direction of arrow.
Make sure flange seal and 3-vane moulded holder remain attached to gear unit housing.
Note:
Grease-coated surfaces/parts must never be allowed to come into contact with dust or dirt. Make exclusive use of G 000 450 02 for re-greasing.
Pull 3-vane moulded holder in direction of arrow off gear shaft of new motor. Rubber moulding must remain in gear unit housing.
Check transmission elements (rubber moulding, damping element) for damage and replace if necessary.
Insert 3-vane moulded holder in cable reel.
Note:
The 3 damping elements must be an exact fit in the cable reel recesses.
Assemble window lifter motor and cable reel in direction of arrow.
The 4 lugs of the 3-vane moulded holder must be aligned with recesses in rubber moulding in gear unit housing.
Note:
If necessary, coat flange seal -a- and gear wheel in gear unit housing with a thin film of grease (G 000 450 02) to stop them dropping out.
If gear unit housing and cable reel cannot be properly assembled, move driver -arrow- slightly to alter position of rubber moulding such that it engages.
Note:
Never turn adjusting screw for upper stop.
Screw in bolts and tighten to 3 Nm in sequence shown.
Screw bonded rubber bushes -arrows- out of defective window lifter motor.
Replace defective bonded rubber bushes.
Fit bonded rubber bushes in new window lifter motor and tighten to 3 Nm.
Check operation before installing in door subframe.
To avoid scratching noise during operation, cut off projecting ends of subsequently attached cable ties.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
