Installation position of diagnostic connectors and wiring junctions K and L: In relay plate with fuse box in plenum chamber
Note:
Wiring between "white" diagnostic connector and convertible top operation control unit -J256 is routed via wiring junction K.
Checking K-wire
Switch off ignition.
Disconnect all wires of vehicle systems with self-diagnosis from wiring junction K.
Establish K-wire for convertible top operation control unit and connect to wiring junction K.
Notes:
Determine wiring colour if wires with different cable colours are connected to wiring junction K.
=> "Current Flow Diagrams, Electrical Fault-finding and Fitting Locations" binder
If wires of the same colour are connected to wiring junction K, use test box V.A.G 1598 A (resistance measurement) to establish wire.
Switch on ignition and enter address word 26 for "Electric roof actuation" again => Page

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
