📋 Procedure
- Remove front left underbody cover (arrow)General body repairs, exterior66Underbody cover; Assembly overview - underbody covers.
- To release fuel line, press in circlip and detach fuel supply line (1)Separating plug-in connectors.
- Connect pressure testerVAS 6550 with hoseVAS 6550/1 and hoseVAS 6550/2 to open ends of fuel supply line (1).
- Switch on pressure testerVAS 6550 by pressing On/Off button.
- Open shut-off taps (A) and (B) of pressure tester (1) and close shut-off tap (C).
- Start engine and run at idling speed.
- Read pressure shown by pressure testerVAS 6550. Specification: at least 0.5 bar.
- Place pressure testerVAS 6550 onto windscreen so that it can be read from inside vehicle.
- Increase idling speed to 2500 rpm. Read pressure on pressure testerVAS 6550. Specification: at least 0.25 bar.
- If the delivery pressure temporarily drops, renew fuel delivery unit .
- If specifications are obtained, renew fuel filter to ensure the fuel filter is not blocked.
