Detach intake silencer.
Disconnect 2-way connector for kickdown switch.
Using leads from V.A.G 1594 A, connect hand-held multimeter V.A.G 1526 A (resistance measurement) to contacts 1 and 2 of kickdown switch connector.
Specified value: ∞ ω
Slowly press accelerator pedal down to the floor: The kickdown switch must be actuated when the kickdown switch lever is depressed in range A ...B by the throttle valve cam.
Specification: 0 ω
Loosen kickdown switch fastening screw.
Push throttle valve lever manually against full-load stop -arrow-.
Adjust the kickdown switch so that the kickdown switch lever contacts the throttle valve cam -arrow-.
Tighten fastening bolts and secure with paint.
