🧭 Before you start
Fits: VW Jetta VI (16, 2010–2018)
- Special tools named: puller
Don't miss
- The front edges of the inner puller Kukko21/2 must not be broken. The needle bearing must always be renewed after each removal.
- A second mechanic is required for the following work step.
- Ensure that upper guide pins T10515/2 and lower guide pins T10515/1 are screwed in.
- (Arrow A) points to the wire of the drive motor temperature sender G712.(Arrow B) indicates the marking (notch) on the electric drive motor V141.
- A second mechanic is required for the next work steps.
📋 Procedure
- ⚠ Risk of damage to components.Always observe rules for cleanliness when working on electric drive motor V141.The centre bolt behind the needle bearing has a left-hand thread. When removing the electric drive motor V141, the engine must be secured to the scissor-type assembly platformVAS 6131 with the articulated joint supportVAS 6131/13-7.When unscrewing the centre bolt counterhold with counterhold T10516 and a suitable lever (3/4 inch square-end).Always use guide pins T10515 to pull electric drive motor V141 off engine. — To ensure optimum work conditions turn engine with engine support T10497 in supportVAS 6131/16-1 anti-clockwise by 90° in (direction of arrow).
- Disconnect connector (3) from regulating valve (1) in order to prevent it from being damaged when installing articulated joint supportVAS 6131/16-3.
- Unclip line with retainer (arrow) and lay it to one side.
- Secure articulated joint supportVAS 6131/16-3 to engine and tighten bolt (arrow in upper section).
- Bolt articulated joint supportVAS 6131/16-3 at bottom to scissor-type assembly platformVAS 6131.
- Clamp off both coolant lines (A) using hose clamps, up to 25 mm3094.
- Disconnect connector (1) from drive motor temperature sender G712(2).
- Remove needle bearing as follows. [Note: The front edges of the inner puller Kukko21/2 must not be broken. The needle bearing must always be renewed after each removal.]
- Fit inner puller Kukko21/2(1) right behind the needles (arrow) of needle bearing (2) and preload inner puller by hand-tightening the nut.
- Pull out needle bearing using inner puller Kukko21/2 and counter support22/1. [Note: A second mechanic is required for the following work step.]
- Insert counterhold T10516 with a suitable extension into crankshaft flange and use it for counterholding when loosening the bolts (arrows).
- Loosen and unscrew bolts (1) to (6). Change position of counterhold T10516 while doing so in order to reach all bolts. [Note: A second mechanic is required for the following work step.]
- ⚠ Risk of damage to components. The centre bolt (2) has a left-hand thread.Due to the high loosening torque appropriate tools must be used to loosen the centre bolt (2). — Insert counterhold T10516 with a suitable extension into crankshaft flange and use it for counterholding when loosening the bolt.
- When loosening bolt (2)(direction of arrow), hold the counterhold T10516(1) in such a way that the engine is not being pulled out of the engine bracket.
- Remove crankshaft flange with shim.
- Ensure that upper guide pins T10515/2 and lower guide pins T10515/1 are screwed in.
- The electric drive motor V141 is bolted to the engine with bolts (1) to (6).
- Initially, only bolts (1) to (3) are accessible. After turning electric drive motor V141, bolts (4) to (6) are accessible. [Note: (Arrow A) points to the wire of the drive motor temperature sender G712.(Arrow B) indicates the marking (notch) on the electric drive motor V141.]
- Bolts (1) to (3) are only accessible in the position as indicated by (arrow A) and (arrow B).
- Unscrew bolts (1) to (3) from engine, but leave them inserted in electric drive motor V141. [Note: (Arrow A) points to the wire of the drive motor temperature sender G712.(Arrow B) indicates the marking (notch) on the electric drive motor V141.]
- Turn electric drive motor V141 in such a way that the two markings (arrow A) and (arrow B) are aligned as shown in illustration.
- Unscrew bolts (4) to (6) from engine, but leave them inserted in electric drive motor V141.
- ⚠ Risk of damage to components. The electric drive motor V141 is permanently attached to the intermediate plate which must thus not be damaged. The electric drive motor V141 is pulled off engine and removed together with the intermediate plate. Both mechanics must hold the assembly only on the electric drive motor V141 and not on the intermediate plate. — If not yet fitted, screw guide pins T10515 into engine as shown in illustration. [Note: A second mechanic is required for the next work steps.]
- Both mechanics must pull the electric drive motor V141 towards front out of the centring elements, without canting the assembly on the guide pins.
- ⚠ Risk of damage to components.Place electric drive motor V141 on a clean surface with intermediate plate facing upwards.Seal all open fluid passages on electric drive motor V141 and on engine with sealing plugs Electronic Parts Catalogue.Use only new sealing plugs for sealing the apertures Electronic Parts Catalogue. The sealing plugs must not be reused. — Place electric drive motor V141 on a clean surface with intermediate plate facing upwards.
- Immediately seal all open fluid passages with sealing plugs from engine bung set for electric drive motor V141Electronic Parts Catalogue.

Who makes these pages, and how
TorqFix was built by a mechanic — after a 2,700 km drive with five roadside repairs that no diagnostic tool could explain.
The figures on this page come from manufacturer workshop documentation and are shown as they are. The page is assembled automatically from that data — it is not written by an AI. The AI works in the chat, where it answers for your specific car. It writes nothing here.
Variants of the same model differ. Cross-check torque against the factory manual for your engine before final tightening.
Seen a figure that does not match your manual? Write to us — we correct it and note when. support@torqfix.com
